Abdomen Procedures

Patient photos are categorized by procedure and whether they are a low or high weight loss patient. See "abdominoplasty categories" under the "services" tab for more information.
Low Weight Loss Patients
Liposuction (suction assisted lipectomy)
Patient 1
Before surgery

Older female patient who desired less fullness in her abdominal area. Seen here before and 4 weeks after suction assisted lipectomy on the right.
Patient 1
After surgery

Small scars are noted and maturing. Good deflation of the entire abdomen is noted. Long term, some tightening of the skin will occur (6-12 months from initial procedure). If further improvement is desired, an mini abdominoplasty would be beneficial.

Liposuction (suction assisted lipectomy)
Patient 2
Before surgery

Young female patient who desired less fullness in her abdominal area. Seen here preoperatively and 11 months postoperative from liposuction (suction assisted lipectomy) on the right.
Patient 2
After surgery

The patient has maintained her weight postoperatively. A natural look with good deflation has been achieved. Scars are well hidden. Belly button (umbilicus) is slightly malformed from a piercing she had long term.

Abdominoplasty
Patient 3
Before surgery

Middle aged female patient with prior Caesarian scar and midline mons pubis procedures with widened scars. Seen here before and 1 year after a Saldahna lipoabdominoplasty.
Patient 3
After surgery

Here we see a flattened midsection with matured scars. Patient noted that clothes fit better and she was back to regular exercise. Patient was encouraged to perform scar massage for continued improvement.

High Weight Loss Patients
Corset Abdominoplasty
Patient 4
Before surgery

Male patient who lost 138 pounds with a stable for over 12 months. Here we see his preoperative photo showing significant redundancy of fat and skin from the chest to the belt line. Bariatric surgery scars are noted. Total body improvement can only be achieved using a corset type abdominoplasty that removes tissues from the midline, redefines the chest, and removes the pannus (hanging fat and skin below the belt line)
Patient 4
After surgery

Here we see the patient 5 months postoperative. The waist, chest, and lower abdomen are redefined. Scars are maturing. Clothes fit without hanging of the abdomen over the pants. Scoliosis of the spine is noted in both photos. Patient remarked he needed to change his entire upper body wardrobe to fit his more slim abdomen and chest.
